Breakfast at the hotel then made our way to Piano de
Sorrento. The drive was easier than both dad and I thought it would be. We
stopped off at a caffe for a snack and saw the angel on the cliff in Maratea
and just around the bend were some stunning views of the sea.

The road took us through a national park with villages scatted around. After stopping for a short break outside the national park we arrived at the hotel and the road down was VERY steep.

We had to zig-zag down a cliff and do a 3 point turn at every
bend…
After arriving at the hotel down the bottom by the water, we
got organised and then took the elevator up to Piano de Sorrento to get some
cash out. We thought the elevator was open later but we were wrong so had to
run through the town and find a cash machine before the elevator back down
closed! We had dinner at the hotel restaurant that evening.. was average..
