Today we had breakfast at a local caffe and went down in the
cable car to the shoreline in Taomina. We made our way to the Greek theatre
which was amazing and huge. Second biggest in Sicily.

I had to back the massive car up a very steep driveway which there was a lot of smoke coming from the clutch….
We drove to the port near Messina where there were so many tunnels.. they have private motorways which you have to pay to use and they are high class, so many tunnels and bridges. Nothing compares in NZ.
We got the ferry to southern Italy and after a few hours of driving got to a small town for lunch which wasn't very good but good to rest after a long drive. The gelato was good though.

We then continued on and got to our destination but it the town didn't look that appealing. We hadn't booked any accommodation for that night but we were likely enough to stumble across the only 4 star hotel in town and it is lovely. Spa, hot pool, sauna, the works.

Dinner was at a local that the nice guy at the reception directed us towards. Sunset over the ocean and great food. The manager of the restaurant was nice also and at one point we had 4 wait staff looking after us. Following dinner we had more vino and card games.
