Our trip up north after spending some time in Christchurch (and a bit in Auckland before had) involved some walks and time to take some nice photos. This is a broken boat outside Cheryl and Don's place on the Kerikeri inlet.

One walk took us under Heritage Bypass bridge.

Cheryl and Don's place has some lovely views of a little inlet. Had to grab this snap when we arrived as the tide was nice and high.

The day after arriving we headed out on the boat to a few islands in the Bay of Islands. The picture below is of one we stopped for lunch on and climbed to the top for some great views.

After being out of the water the next day we headed to Matai Bay as none of us had been there before. Lovely spot.

On the ride back we stopped of at 90 Mile Beach, Cable bay and Coopers Beach. Just like last year.

One of the evenings I managed to do some experimenting with my camera and setup to do a timelase of the tides and the stars. Video is best watched in 1080 to get a view of the stars.
